Terms of Use

The Flippy Notes app is licensed under Apple’s standard license agreement. These terms add what is specific to Flippy Notes: your notes, Coffee Club memberships and our online services.

The app license

Your use of the Flippy Notes app is governed by Apple’sLicensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”). These terms apply alongside it. If they conflict, the Standard EULA wins for the app license.

Your notes

• Your notes are yours. They are stored on your Mac, not on our servers.
• Because we don’t have your notes, we can’t recover them. Keep backups, for example with Time Machine orFile › Export Notes…

Coffee Club memberships

• A Coffee Club membership unlocks every Flippy Notes feature. You can choose a monthly membership (with one to four virtual coffees; more coffees change the price, not the features), a yearly membership, or lifetime access, which is a one-time purchase.
• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• Monthly and yearly memberships renew automatically at the end of each period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your membership in yourApple Account subscription settings. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one atreportaproblem.apple.com.
• Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you buy. If a subscription price changes, Apple lets you know in advance as required.
• The free plan includes a limited number of notes, as shown in the app.

Your account

The App Store version creates an anonymous account so purchases can be linked to you. Signing in with email is optional. You can delete your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy. We may suspend accounts used to abuse our services.

Using our services fairly

Don’t misuse Flippy Notes or its online services: for example, don’t try to access other people’s accounts, disrupt or overload our servers, or get around purchase checks.

Changes and availability

We may improve, change or retire features. Our online services may occasionally be unavailable; your notes stay available on your Mac. If these terms change, we’ll update this page and the date above.

No warranty and limits

To the extent allowed by law, Flippy Notes is provided “as is”, and we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost notes. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law or the Standard EULA.
